What are your favorite Waves plugins?

H-Delay is hands down one of my favorites and I’m using it on sax and Paul’s vocal on a few songs. The SSL package is high on my list of go to plug-ins.

What are some advantages of using Waves plugins?

Well the Studer Vista 5 doesn’t have any onboard effect processing so the MultiRack setup is really useful to me in many ways. I currently run a pretty substantial rack of actual hardware for Paul’s current orchestra and without the Waves MultiRack that real rack would be at least double in size. What’s nice for me is that Paul often changes a sound, or adds an instrument and he will ask for a specific effect to complement it. With MultiRack, I can just add what he’s looking for without having to share a device with another input or place an order with the shop. As a bonus I’m doing all of this via MADI, making the routing easy and keeping my traditional outputs and inputs free to deal with my non-virtual gear.

What do you see as your main goal for the audience?

Get all of the detail that Paul’s creating out there in the seats.
